Skull Appreciation Preview at G5: 172/365

T

Gallery 5 was once an old Fire Station.
If you get a chance come out to Gallery 5 tonight for the Skull exhibit.  There are over 100 skulls, skull quilts and skull mail art.  It's amazing how different each skull is even though we were given the same paper mache base.  Here is more info and a video clip about the exhibit.

Skull Appreciation: 111/365

My base for the first annual Skull Appreciation Day,  June 4th, 2011, arrived today.  What will I do with it? I  have some ideas and will begin the process tonight.  Over 100 artists are participating, and the final works as well as skull mail art and the collaborative skull quilt, which will be auctioned off for charity, will be on display at Gallery 5
