Bubbles: 158/365

I have taken a break from SLR, I seem to have gotten too worried with technical details lately, instead of just having fun and inviting spontaneous emotion, which I can't necessarily get by the time I lug my SLR out, worry about it getting damaged while balancing a snow globe on my leg and trying to enjoy bubble blowing with my daughter.  I think the first pic would be lovely if the wand were in sharper focus, but it is better to have captured, than never captured at all:)

  4. These are definitely among my favorites of yours!

Follow that Muse. Sometimes she says to wing it, sometimes SLR it, and sometimes bubble it. More than anything it seems to me to be about letting go and enjoying ourselves, portraying a feeling, a moment as truly as possible, which most often has nothing to do with the technical bits.

Your heart always shines through, and that's what I love about all you share.

  5. Wendy, I think I did say that, but I forgot :)

Misha, that is so kind of you. I am really trying to stir within. I am working "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron for the third time in ten years. I'm hoping I can make it through the 12 weeks this time since I have already been practicing a daily creative ritual here. I'm only on week one, but I have had to face some of my "blocks" and sometimes looking at those things stir a bunch of emotions. "Raw" comes to mind and "ugh, I can't do this."

I am SO lucky for the support I get here from all of you. Having daily support from other kindred, creative spirits, whether you've "owned" your inner artist yet or not, is really, really helpful and I'm so grateful for your presence.
