Clogged Sink: 170/365

Black water courtesy of my french press.  Serves me right, I should have composted the grounds. Remember this colander? It looks different in black, murky water:)

Mama Through a Wringer 16/365

The title about sums it up.  Winter is hard time for Team Whitehurst, since my son is a severe asthmatic.  In case pneumonia wasn't enough, we threw in a little MRSA and antibiotic allergies for added fun.  We are in isolation, and we miss our friends and my kid's playmates, but I am grateful to hospital grade antibiotic shots that will hopefully keep my son out of the hospital this NYE.  I am also grateful for my mother who has not only had to raise me and my brother, but drops everything to help me and my kids.

There is much to be grateful for, a warm house, health insurance, and medications we can afford.  There is light all around us, even when we feel like there is none.  Here is a picture I took around 4:30pm, as light shone through the kitchen window, illuminating a dim day.  The holes from the colander seem to double as a snow globe itself, but for the project's sake, there is a snow globe on my shoulder. I was lucky to shoot this photo due to the neediness of little ones around me, though I know it would have been better with my SLR and tripod, it is what it is. Wishing you peace, health, and happiness in the new year.
